Sailor star finally in a boxed set!!!! hoping that it will go out one day in bluray! It will be supersuper cabinet nothing to say to buy if one is a fan like me of this series.... I am extremely satisfied with the purchase of the product delivery international was fast and the dvd can be view on my dvd player american. I would like to know the reason because it is normally impossible to view a dvd coming out of Europe (different from USA region1). The misterieuses the above-mentioned gold was one of my drawings anime favourite and now living in the USA with two girl twins I'm certain that they apprecierons watch these dvds in English. Animation at the cutting edge of means of the time, and especially of the music of the exception. It was in this time finally not so distant things ambitious for children... An absolute reference for an entire generation, beyond the simple cartoon. The last opus of Miyazaki, public success (it has beaten records of entries to the Japan, before Titanic, Princess Mononoke, his previous film), AND critical (Golden Bear in Berlin), enough to conquer the most obstinate animated films in general, and japanese anime in particular. As for the graphics, it has nothing to envy to american studios : the animation and backgrounds are beautiful. The soundtrack, composed by Joe Hisaichi (composer of the B. O. Kitano) contributes greatly to perfect the whole. So, it is a total success, both on the aesthetic and storyline. Yet the thread of the scenario is tenuous. It is more a succession of scenes (funny, poignant, frightening, mysterious...) than a real plot, but with an originality that appears strange and enchants. There are, in addition to references to the japanese culture, the myth of Circe, the sorceress from The Odyssey who transforms the companions of Ulysses into pigs, so that they forget their past, that they forget who they are, that they forget that they are men... It is what it is also in this wonderful cartoon (the "moral" : it must not be forgotten that it is, remember his name, his identity, is paramount. The name is what makes living beings and things.) The DVD menus are pretty simple, and a little ugly on some anime, and I don't understand why the main menu is in English while all the rest is in French and that there was not even the audio track in english on the episodes, but at least we found it. The boxes are of excellent invoice and very class, but as always with the box Dybex, they do not indicate any episodes are on the DVD, malgrer the small booklet that summarizes the episodes, the titles and everything, forgetting to indicate in which DVD you can see such an episode, which is not practical. Apart from that, the purchase of the full worth for a beautiful setting for image quality is very satisfactory for a DVD, and of course, the excellence of the series.. This integral takes its principal interest from the fact that we can FINALLY discover what were the ORIGINAL DIALOGUES, even in the scenes that have never been cut but they were dubbed into French so infantile, cutesy and very first level, while the VO japanese is bitter, often cruel and politically incorrect.On Sale Medline MDS15315H #15:

In one of the episodes, Joan is talking to Sunny after he starts to cry : dubbed Version in French : "let's Go, Sunny, what is there? you're sad, say? don't cry please" Version of the original japanese : "Oh oh say you'll stop, yes? You're a man or not? A man who cries it's ridiculous, you're going to stop right then or I throw you out the window! " (then it tries to do, in a scene that was censored by the French version but that one has of course here in its entirety! Another detail, but in size : the ORIGINAL title that has nothing to do with the one that has rocked our childhood way Chantal Goya... this is a real song with a great rhythm and lyrics mature! What a shock! So no hesitation! rush you on this integral, non-denatured, it was time! An anime atypical, the story of a family who faces the difference, ITS a difference... and a very human story first and foremost. We find the themes of nature, dear to the greatest japanese authors. The sudden rupture between the bustling city life of Tokyo and the pace is fundamentally different from the deep countryside. Universal themes that speak to us all, eventually. See for yourself... it is beautiful and it makes you think. Ah yes, the last detail : the kids will love it! A the end of the series rather disappointing, does not answer any questions.
